Murphy Fresh and Tatura Fresh offer casual work in the following positions:
Our crop worker team members maintain tomato plants in a glasshouse environment. This position involves maintaining and nurturing our plants to ensure they reach their maximum potential. We provide extensive on-site training including integrated pest management, plant health and quality systems. You will be working in a hot, humid conditions and at heights of up to 4 metres. The job is physically demanding with constant standing and walking; and doing repetitive work. You need to be able to distinguish between red and green, show attention to detail and be able to work to set targets whilst maintaining company quality standards.
Our packer team members have extensive training in our stringent company quality standards and product specifications. Working with company quality and hygiene procedures at the forefront of their mind. Our packing team aim to pack and present the highest quality produce. The position involves working in a packing shed environment and is physically demanding with constant standing, bending, lifting of various weights and volumes.
Our picking team members pick premium tomatoes according to our customers product specifications. Each tomato plant is leafed weekly to provide optimum light and growing conditions. The picking position involves working in a hot, humid conditions and is physically demanding with constant standing, walking and repetitive work. You need to be able to distinguish between red and green, show attention to detail and be able to work to set targets whilst maintaining company quality standards.
Trolley Towers play an integral role in the logistical side of getting the produce from the glasshouse onto the pack line. This positions involves operation of a custom vehicle called a ‘bee’ that is designed to transport trolleys. The position is physically demanding and involves standing, reaching, bending and lifting. Precision driving skills, attention to detail and sound awareness of health and safety are necessary in order to be successful.

CASUAL STAFF REQUIRED
Earn up to $32.00 per hour and work an average of 38 hours a week!
Murphy Fresh and Tatura Fresh are looking for casual staff to fill a number of picking and packing over Summer.
You must be available for 7am starts, Monday to Friday. Work is fast paced and physically demanding, in a hot and humid environment. Base rate is $24.80 per hour and we have an attractive fortnightly bonus which can earn you up to $32.00 per hour when KPI and quality is met. We offer stable work and aim to give all our staff approximately 38 hours per week.
Murphy Fresh is eligible for 2nd and 3rd year WHV visa extensions.
This is strictly on a first in basis – subject to suitability based on selection criteria.

Our produce department offers a range of fulltime positions which include the management, training and supervision of staff. The planning and organisation of crop production from picking, leafing, packing and distribution. These positions entail planning and budgeting around incoming produce with relation to staffing needs, inventory of supplies and logistical requirements of picking and packing staff and distribution of stock.
Maintenance offers a range of fulltime positions including management, supervisory and assistant levels. Positions are hands on and require operation of a computer based maintenance system, regular scheduled maintenance as well as attending to daily unplanned maintenance needs of all equipment and infrastructure.
In our growing department we have opportunities at a management, supervisory and assistant level. These positions oversee the care and maintenance of the tomato crop including the monitoring and analysing of the crop to determine technical actions with regard to the irrigation, heating, nutrients, climate control and IPM. The management, supervision and training of crop staff. Entering data and figures, analysing to ensure premium growth and production.
HR & Adminstration
Our human resources department oversees the recruitment, placement and employee relations across both farms. This includes the planning, organisation and development of our tailored leadership program, safety and training. Our administration department manages payroll, accounts payable and receivable. In addition to closely updating and monitoring budgets and group financials.
